Conversations

Conversations are at the heart of Answers From Me. Here's how to start chatting with a Knowledge Agent and get the most out of each answer.

Starting a Conversation

1. Click Conversations in the left sidebar (or the AFM logo) to go to the Conversations view
2. Click New conversation at the top of the sidebar
3. Browse the list of available experts or use the Search experts field to find a specific one
4. Click on an expert to start a conversation with their Knowledge Agent

You'll see a welcome message from the expert introducing their agent. Type your question in the Ask a question field at the bottom and click Send (or press Enter) to get started.

Resuming a Conversation

Your past conversations appear in the left sidebar, listed by expert name and topic. Click on any conversation to pick up where you left off. You can also use the microphone button to ask your question by voice.

Answer Details

Each answer from a Knowledge Agent comes with helpful details. Click on any answer to reveal:

• Items cited — see the specific sources the agent referenced when crafting the answer. Click the citation count (e.g., "7 items cited") to open a panel showing each source with its title, origin, and a brief description
• Copy — copy the answer text to your clipboard
• Ratings — let the expert know how useful the answer was by clicking Helpful, Not Helpful, or Love It

Your ratings help experts improve their Knowledge Agents over time, so don't hesitate to share your feedback!
