The last few months have been busy for us, and we have begun to roll out some significant evolutions in the product. Therefore, we’re excited to put a note out to our Experts help explain what's changed and why.
As transparency is one of our core values, what follows is an update directly from the engineering and design team that is delivering these enhancements - we hope you’ll excuse the technical terms and enjoy the authenticity. Let us know!
New Design
We've developed a new design -- color scheme, consistent visual patterns, edit controls, and so forth. We love the new design and think it makes screens a lot easier to understand and settings much easier to edit. "Resurfacing the whole product is a huge task so we are rolling this out in phases across the product, but you'll see some significant changes in the current release. A typical example is the Account Page:

We're only about 50% there as of today, but will continue to make updates toward the new design.
New Expert Page
We've made it incredibly easy for Experts to share their Agent with their audience. We now have a redesigned, mobile-friendly Expert Page that allows visitors to immediately interact with your Agent, and can be enabled in seconds.

The left side of the Expert Page is what's on your Profile Page--your headline, bio, and any social links (you can add as many links to socials or your own websites). Whether you decide to have a public Expert Page and how to allow access (sign in required? allow 3 questions first? anonymous okay?) is also controlled from your Profile page.

The top section is profile basics, which has the same information as before, but now a better edit experience, especially on mobile. The middle section controls the visibility of your Expert Page, including your personalized Answers From Me URL and the sign in behavior for your Agent. In the bottom section, you can add links to your own website or any social media you want to highlight to build out your page, as our CEO Scott's example above. |
Phasing out of "Hub" Terminology
"Experts and Agents I get, but what's a Hub?" For us, your Expert Hub is the nexus of all of the data associated with you: your expertise, your Agents, the content you've added, your knowledge seekers, and more. But it's a few too many concepts to introduce, and having a profile for each one--you as the Expert, your Agent's profile, and then the Hub, was a bit overwhelming. So we're phasing out the Hub terminology from the product. All the data and functionality is still working behind the scenes for you, but what used to be your Hub data now just becomes the default description and profile for your Agent

Improved Onboarding
If you're an already-onboarded Expert, this won't impact you, but we've taken to heart feedback received during onboarding and made substantial improvements so that the process is easier and more reliable. Just know we're continuing to improve the process to make it easier for more Experts with a wider variety of needs to start using Answers From Me.
